Kitchen window spotted & dirty?
•Don't use the sponge scrubber; it will scratch the glass
•Do spray with vinegar, let sit 10-15 min, scrub with kitchen cloth and buff dry.
Downspout Keeps Clogging?
•Don't put a rolled up bundle of wire or plastic mesh in the top; the overlapped mesh reduces drainage and can actually cause overflow.
•Do hit the hardware store and ask for help buying the right cage for your downspout and type of falling debris. $3-$5 bucks each.
Moss Just Keeps Growing Back
•Don't assume that it takes a professional to control it.
•Do consider: If you can personally get within 20 feet of all the moss that's growing, you can save money controlling it. Hit the hardware store for a Moss/Algae killer for roofs that attaches to the garden hose. It's easy to use, long range and can kill moss less than an inch thick. Some are even Organic. $15-$18 treats 500 sq ft and up to 1000 sq ft.
